You know the routine. You wake up, you need the bathroom, and you have two bad options: flip on a ceiling light that blinds you and wakes the whole house, or feel your way along the wall in the dark and hope the dog isn't lying there.
This light removes the choice. Walk into the hallway and a soft, warm glow appears in front of you. Walk away and it fades out on its own. You never touch a switch, and nobody else wakes up.
Smart Enough to Stay Off
Most motion sensor lights only sense one thing: movement. So they fire off in the middle of the afternoon, in a bright kitchen, for no reason. By the time you actually need them at night, the battery is flat.
This one uses two sensors working together. A light sensor checks whether the room is actually dark. An infrared lens checks whether a person is actually there. The light only turns on when both are true. In daylight it simply stays off and saves its charge.
Detection range: up to 5-7 metres ahead, 2-3 metres to either side, across a 120 degree arc. That covers a full hallway, a staircase landing, or a walk-in wardrobe from a single unit.
Three positions on the switch. ON for a steady light you control. OFF when you want it dark. AUTO for hands-free sensing. Flip it once and forget about it.
Warm 2700K-3000K light. Not the cold blue-white of a phone screen. A soft amber tone that lets you see where you're going without dragging you fully awake, and without waking your partner or the baby down the hall.
Two magnets, not one. There is a magnet in the base and a magnet in the light itself. Peel the adhesive backing, press the base to any smooth surface, and the light clicks into place. Lift it off and it becomes a handheld torch for a dark cupboard, the car boot, or the basement. The light also sticks directly to any metal surface without the base at all.
A 7-inch bar, 1 inch thick. Slim enough to sit on a skirting board, a stair riser, or the inside of a wardrobe without looking like hardware.
Setup takes under a minute. No electrician. No drill. No holes in a wall you might not own.
Not All Sensor Lights Are The Same
Search for a motion sensor light and you'll find hundreds of them. The reviews all say the same three things: the magnet gives out, the sensor fires in broad daylight, and the light is either blinding or useless. Here's what we did differently.

Where It Earns Its Place

Will it turn on during the day?
No. There's a built-in light sensor alongside the motion sensor. If there's already light in the room, the motion function switches itself off. It only activates in the dark.
Will the magnet actually hold it?
Yes. There's a magnet in the base and a second one in the light body. Peel off the adhesive backing, press the base onto any smooth, clean surface, and the light snaps into place. The light will also stick directly to any metal surface without the base at all.
Do I need to drill or hire an electrician?
Neither. Setup is adhesive-only and takes under a minute. Nothing to screw, nothing to wire, no holes in the wall. Ideal if you rent.
How long does the light stay on?
15 seconds after the last movement it detects, then it fades out by itself. That's what keeps the charge lasting. If you'd rather have it stay on, flip the switch to ON for a steady light.
How do I charge it?
With the included cable. A red indicator light shows it's charging and switches off once it's full.
Where can I put it?
Hallways, staircases, bedrooms, kids' rooms, bathrooms, wardrobes, under kitchen cabinets, in the study, in the car, in the garage. Anywhere you currently fumble for a switch.
